Days in Malacca
Departed from Singapore on 27Aug morning. It took us around 4hrs to reach Malacca and there after, Ms Chan from Cubic Learning took us to our Hotel at Seri Malaysia. It was just a very short break for us to place our stuff into the rooms and off we go to Cubic Learning Factory. Over there, we got a welcome msg and a brief descirption on what will be covered through these 7 days. Then we return to our Hotel for a short rest before we head for our dinner at a Peranakan restaurant. The food there was delicious and when i entered the shop it makes me think of my grandparents house. hehe.
On the 2nd day, it was class for Manufacturing Management. We get to learn how a product is being manufuctured and walk through the production line to have a clearer view. For dinner, we went to a Nasi Lemak shop to have fried frice with chicken. The rice so delicious. It is fried with green chilli and the chicken is marinated with some kind of source that makes me drool. After dinner, we head down to Malacca River for night walk. To me i think that the river do not really look like a river. It is more like drain to me. :X We were being invited to a Dutch shop and the owner was very friendly. He bring us on a tour around his shop and provide us with all the knowledge of Dutch that he have.
On the 3rd day, we visited Mahkota Medical Center. We had a tour around the hospital and the marketing staff over there were very nice. They bring us around and even get a free consultation from the doctor for one of the girl in our group. After the morning tour, we went for
chicken rice. The rice is realli nice and bouncy..
There after, we travelled to CTRM where we get to know how parts of the air craft is being made. It is realli an eye opener for me. It was realli tirring having to tour around and therefore, we return to our hotel for a short nap before heading for dinner at Duyong which was just at the sea side. The Ikan Bakar was delicious. I even packed back to the Hotel to enjoy it better.
On the 4th day of our trip, which is the day that we have been looking for have arrived. There were many site viewing of those historical places in Malacca. That is how we spend our morning and we visited a shop that is round the corner to have our lunch, nonya laksa. We proceed to the Visit on Bird’s nest and we get to view a in-house bird’s nest, where there are lots of nest and of cos, having a bowl of refreshing bird’s nest. Then we depart to A’fomosa for Dinner and to the Cowboy Town. When we reach Cowboy Town, we headed for the Red Indian Show and followed by animal show.
During the interval, i took picture with a parrot and at the same time being frigten by tiger. I went totally wake and cant control my tears… so shameful… Then i have to keep hiding away to make sure that i was not near to any tiger. Then we walk around taking pictures to pass the time while waiting for the countdown to Medaka. We were there till around 12+.
The next day, all of us woke up late and the day starts in the noon. We had lessson on Product Realization then we went to Medan Samudera for Souveniors. Over there it is just like our wet market. All the stores there were selling almost similar things and then we went to an air-condition shopping mall, Dataran Palawan, for more shopping. For dinner, each of us were given RM15 to buy watever food that we want from the newton food court.
The day before we depart, we had lesson on Quality Management. The lesson last for a day an all of us were feelin extremly tired. Luckily there were more shopping at Jonker Walk at nite. We experience the day and nite Jonker Walk. Ms Chan also bring me to a Italian restaurant, Coconut House, for pizza… Due to time, we packed it back to our hotel.
Just a glance, 7 days have past. We had a debrief session at cubics and we were askin Ms Chan to give us a speech on her reflection of us through out this 7 days but she was afraid that she get too emotional she did not dare to say. And finally we are leaving Malacca back to Singapore.
I do miss Malacca for all the fun shopping and delicious food. Hope to be there soon.
